The BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix from August 1 to 3, 2025, is much more than just a race weekend for historic vehicles. Visitors can expect a genuine motorsport festival with countless classic vehicles, and there will be plenty to see off the race track as well. In the paddock and other areas of the traditional Eifel race track, guests of all ages will be amazed. There will be emotional reunions at autograph sessions, technical fascination with automotive works of art from all eras, and first-hand information.
A special experience is the tour of the paddock, which is included with every ticket. This year, it even extends into the Mercedes Arena – with hundreds of vehicles, teams, exhibitors, and other attractions. Highlights on the race track itself include demonstrations of the classic Le Mans start, the atmospheric evening race for two-seater sports cars and GTs up to 1971, Formula 1 cars from the Cosworth era, and the premiere of a single-make super touring car race. Test drives with pre-war racing cars and historic motorcycles are also on offer, as is the Nordschleife, which invites visitors to take a closer look. Prominent drivers will also be getting back behind the wheel in the “Touring Car Golden Era” races and can be seen up close during the big autograph sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
Classic car auction at the ring°boulevardClassicbid takes center stage on the covered promenade of the ring°boulevard: around 100 classic cars will go under the hammer here over the weekend. Everyone can join in the excitement at the live auction on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. And if you want, you can also register as a bidder on site. Even outside of the auction, the stand is worth a visit – the vehicles will be on display throughout the weekend.
Historic paddock: a journey through timeThe historic paddock is home to the oldest vehicles of the weekend in their original setting: this year, the pre-war racing cars of the Vintage Sports Car Trophy will be joined by the historic motorcycles of “Grab the Flag!” A special exhibit: an Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider that competed in the 1971 96-hour race at the Nürburgring. The driver at the time, Hanno Schumacher (85), will also be there.
Grand Prix paddock: brands, stars, and great partnersThe heart of the event will once again beat in the Grand Prix paddock this year. This is where all the participating teams can be found with their racing cars – from Formula 1 cars to touring cars. Relaxation areas with a wide range of catering options invite visitors to linger. At the same time, the paddock features merchandising stands, specialist literature, model cars, accessories, memorabilia, and much more: a treasure trove for enthusiasts.
And, of course, this is where you can meet the teams and drivers in person – including the chance for a spontaneous chat about cars, a selfie, or an autograph. The partners of the Oldtimer Grand Prix also contribute to the variety. Title sponsor BELMOT will be on hand throughout the weekend to personalize visitors' newly purchased OGP polo shirts and racing sweaters.
The voucher is included with the purchase of an official OGP polo shirt. On Saturday at 3:00 p.m., the insurer invites visitors to the premiere of its new podcast series “BELMOT & Friends on the road” at its stand in the paddock. Later, from 6:30 p.m., there will be live music at the BELMOT stand party. Junghans is also back as the official timekeeping partner. The watch brand is celebrating its tenth anniversary as timekeeping partner in 2025 and has two exclusive special models in strictly limited editions: The 1972 Automatic and the 1972 Chronoscope will be available in editions of only 52 pieces each – a reference to the 52nd edition of the Oldtimer Grand Prix. Other fine timepieces will also be on display at the stand right next to the award podium – along with an original BMW M1 from the renowned Steim collection.
Not far away, media partner Motor Klassik will also be present with its large tent. This year, for the first time, there will be a special exhibition of historic racing motorcycles, complemented by selected automobiles: A Porsche 924 will be presented to the winner of the Motor Klassik Readers' Award 2025 on Saturday evening. There will also be a 1987 Alpina BMW M3 that was once driven by Ellen Lohr and Andreas Bovensiepen at the Brno Grand Prix. And those who settle down here for coffee and cake may also experience the big autograph sessions (Sat, 12:30 p.m. and Sun, 11:30 a.m.) with prominent drivers from the “Golden Era of Touring Cars.”
The fuel experts from Aspen will also be back in the paddock, presenting their classic car-friendly fuel, Aspen Classic Fuel. Racing teams will also be able to test the fuel's practicality over the weekend, as the manufacturer is giving away 2,000 liters of fuel free of charge to participants. Visitors can also take part in the Aspen Challenge: Four pairs of weekend tickets for the OGP 2026 will go to those who can hold a filled 5-liter canister horizontally with their arm outstretched for the longest time. The task is a little less strenuous at sim racing specialist Racewerk, where visitors can climb into the virtual cockpit of a high-end racing simulator.
Attractions everywhereThe top brand clubs gather in the Mercedes Arena. This is also where you will find the BELMOT Service Point, which offers practical support for active participants. There are also other attractions to discover around the track. The Nordschleife is always full of eye-catching vehicles on two and four wheels – during the track day on Friday or during club rides and pre-war demonstrations on the weekend. Other brand clubs are represented in the parking lots around the start/finish line.
