International top acts including Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Volbeat, Bad Omens, Limp Bizkit, Sabaton and Papa Roach delivered memorable performances against an impressive backdrop. One of the highlights of the weekend was the return of Linkin Park to the Ring for the first time in twelve years. Papa Roach also created one of the most extraordinary moments of the entire festival when they arrived by helicopter directly behind the stage before their performance. It was a performance that already looks destined to become one of Rock am Ring’s legendary moments. Frontman Jacoby Shaddix reflected on the experience: “That moment was pure adrenaline. We’ve always believed that rock shows should be legendary, and this was about creating a moment that fans would never forget.
